Space Weather News {embedded} ~ FARSIDE SOLAR ACTIVITY: Solar activity has been very low for more than 2 weeks. However, a change could be on the way. On August 3, 2015 [see above image] a new active region on the farside of the sun exploded [above] sending a massive CME into space. Scientists were not able to gauge the magnitude of the CME [see above] but it was large. While it was not Earth-directed, the region is rotating to Earthside soon.
